BIDA’s First Friday Art Walk brings downtown Bainbridge Island to life with an evening of art, community, and local creativity. Visitors can explore galleries, shops, and other participating businesses while enjoying featured artists, special exhibits, refreshments, and a lively downtown atmosphere. Held on the first Friday of each month, the event offers a fun and welcoming way to experience local art while supporting downtown businesses.

Bainbridge Island Street Dance

BIDA’s July 3rd Street Dance is a beloved summer tradition that fills downtown Bainbridge Island with live music, dancing, food, and community celebration. Friends and families gather along Winslow Way to enjoy an energetic evening together ahead of Independence Day. The event is a festive showcase of downtown and the vibrant spirit of the island community.

Oktoberfest

BIDA’s new Oktoberfest, created in partnership with Bainbridge Island Rowing and Bainbridge Events, brings the community together for a lively fall celebration featuring local food and beverages, music, and festive activities.

Hometown Halloween

BIDA’s Hometown Halloween transforms downtown Bainbridge Island into a festive, family-friendly celebration filled with costumes, treats, and community spirit. Each year, local businesses welcome trick-or-treaters along Winslow Way, creating a safe and lively place for families to enjoy Halloween together.

Holiday Tree Lighting

BIDA’s Holiday Tree Lighting brings the community together in downtown Bainbridge Island at Town Square on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The festive celebration features live musical performances from local choirs and BHS band, seasonal entertainment, and the lighting of the community tree, along with "Sweets with the Squad".

Elves On The Shop Shelves

BIDA’s Elves on the Shop Shelves is a festive holiday game that invites families to explore downtown while searching for hidden elves inside participating businesses. Players visit local shops, spot the elves, and complete their game cards for a chance to win prizes. It is a fun and engaging way to celebrate the season, discover downtown businesses, and enjoy a little holiday magic together.
